'EN AVANT LA MUSIQUE!' AT FORUM DES IMAGES
The current season on at the Forum des Images is dedicated to music and society. Through fictions, documentary, filmed concerts and biopics, the cycle explores the place of music in our collective history. The theme “If You’re Going to San Francisco” examines psychedelic and hippy culture via films including Woodstock (Michael Wadleigh), I’m Not There (Todd Haynes), Hair (Milos Forman) or Mean Streets (Martin Scorsese); “Sur la Route de Memphis” looks at the birthplace of blues, country and rock with films including Nashville (Robert Altman) or Walk the Line (James Mangold); “Rebel Rebel” explores punk culture with Quadrophenia (Frank Roddam), Sid & Nancy (Alex Cox) or 24 Hour Party People (Michael Winterbottom) etc. Check the complete program here.
