ETTORE SOTTSASS AT SEVRES, CITE DE LA CERAMIQUE

 In > art culture design

The Italian design giant Ettore Sottsass (1917–2007), best known as the founder of the 80s Memphis collective, demonstrates again his incredible inventivity in this retrospective of glass and porcelain works made at both the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres and CIRVA, (International Centre for Research on glass and plastic arts), based in Marseille. The exhibition is the result of close collaboration between the two French institutions who from the 90s onwards offered the technical expertise necessary for Sottsass to realise these complex pieces. The show has been put together by designer and friend of Sottsass, Michele De Lucchi.
Until 22 July. 6/4.5€
