FIAC 2013

 In > art culture design

Hot on the heels of London’s Frieze, the Paris international contemporary art fair opens to the public today. Celebrating its 40th anniversary edition, it brings together 184 galleries from 25 countries at the Grand Palais. New countries represented this year include Canada, Ireland and the Czech Republic. The free and open-to-all Hors les Murs program expands too; radiating from its historic base in the Tuileries Garden, a programme inaugurated in 2006, FIAC extended into the Jardin des Plantes and various spaces of the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle in 2011, then to the Place Vendôme in 2012 and, for the first time this year, on the new Berges de la Seine along the river. You can even catch a ferry between the different sites. In parallel to the principal fair, don’t miss Cutlog the principal ‘off’ program, presenting more under-the-radar galleries, and taking place behind the Palais Royal at the Atelier Richelieu.
Until Sun 27 Oct. Noon-8pm. 35€
