Martine Franck at the MEP

 In > art culture design

In 1965, Magnum photographer Martine Franck began a series of portraits of artists “from other lands” and living in Paris since 1945. La Maison Européenne de la Photographie presents around sixty of these photographs of painters and sculptors in their studios, Pierre Alechinsky to Zao Wou Ki. Like a small illustrated encyclopedia of modern and contemporary art, it brings together artists famous or little known to the French public, from all countries, the United States to China. The set shows the vitality of the French art scene and the ongoing attractiveness of Paris for artists.
Until 8 Jan. 11am-8pm. Closed Mon, Tue.
