Par Nature at the 104

 In > art culture design

The autumn/winter season ‘Par Nature’ at Le 104 opens on Saturday with a series of solo shows featuring notably the French artist with the beautiful name Céleste Boursier-Mougenot and his fabulous piece From Here to Ear originally commissioned by London’s Barbican and which brings together zebra finches and electric guitars for a living and ephemeral artwork. The Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos, currently showing at Versailles, presents Jardim do Éden (Garden of Eden), an installation that comes across as the negative of the classical idea of the garden; a walk through the surprising and dream-like low-tech Eden reveals the flagrant artificiality of the flowers and the light that shines on them. Also exhibiting is the Indian artist Hema Upadhyay with This Space in Between You and Me; the French photographer Christophe Beauregard with Le Meilleur des Mondes?; one of China’s most important artists Gu Dexin and September 1, 2006; and Egyptian artist Moataz Nazr presents I Am Free.
Until 17 Mar.
