Paris Fashion Week starts today

Paris Fashion Week opens today, presenting the women’s prêt-à-porter collections for next spring and summer. Running through to Wed 3 Oct,  the week’s hottest news must be Hedi Slimane’s return to fashion after leaving Dior Homme back in 2007, signalling a new chapter both in his own career – his first foray into womenswear – and for the label. He’ll present his first collection for Yves Saint Laurent next Mon 1 Oct. The mythic label gets a name and logo change too, switching to Saint Laurent Paris. And Dior’s new AD Raf Simons, replacing the shamed John Galliano, will continue to share his vision of the brand, on Fri 28 Sep, after an exquisite first presentation for Couture last July.
