Rock on Ice

‘Bad music for bad people’… There’s a new winter season of monthly soirées marrying the unlikely partners of ice-skating and rock’n’roll  at the Pailleron ice skating rink, in the 19th, not far from the Buttes Chaumont. Set up by Jean-Baptiste Guilllot, founder of the indie rock label Born Bad Records, the nights get people older than 12 onto skates, and to a soundtrack a bit more sophisticated than Brittany Spears. This Friday, underground Paris label Versatile Records bring us a live set from Zombie Zombie plus DJ sets from Gilb’R and I:Cube. The next 2 dates of the season: Kill the DJ on Fri 4 Feb  and, to close, Born Bad Records on Fri 4 Mar.
(PS And don’t forget about the ice skating rink set up in front of the Hôtel de Ville, open until 27 Feb.)
8pm-midnight. 10€ entry, 32 rue Edouard Pailleron, 19th. www.pailleron19.com
