Sweet Bird of Youth : une carte blanche à Hedi Slimane

 In > art culture design

The radio station France Culture invites Hedi Slimane to take the reins of their experimental program the ‘Atelier de Création Radiophonique’ this coming Sun 22 Nov, from 11pm. Hedi will be presenting two sound pieces composed by Pete Doherty and Gus Van Sant to accompany Slimane’s photo and video work. You’ll get to hear a 5 minute extract from Gus Van Sant’s ‘American Youth’, an improvised piece on the guitar which formed part of Slimane’s 2007 exhibition at the FOAM Photography Museum in Amsterdam; and a 19 minute piece ‘Ice Cream Fantasy’ by Doherty, the soundtrack to a video installation Slimane presented in Lisbon, at the Ellipse Contemporary Art Foundation, as well as to the group show Sweet Bird of Youth Slimane curated in Berlin in 2007.
