CANTINE CALIFORNIA
Paris food truck pioneers are now pimping their “delicious (and organic) street food” from a first bricks and mortar restaurant at Arts-et-Métiers. The heart of the menu remains the range of toothsome burgers made with quality ingredients including organic French beef, home-made sauces, and non-industrial buns, but here is expanded to include salads and some small plates. So there’s now avocado on toast (4€), mini-burgers (6€), single tacos (4€) and a couple of salads in small or large formats. There’s a short breakfast or brunch menu too, with US classics granola (10€) and maple syrup pancakes (13€). The drinks menu is to the point, with quality coffee, organic wines, locally brewed beers from Gallia and Deck & Donohue on tap, or for the more adventurous, get a 1 litre pitcher of Margarita. The stylish interiors create a perfect setting for good times with friends.
>Open daily, 11.30am-11.30pm. >46 rue de Turbigo, 3rd. >www.cantinecalifornia.com/
