La Semaine du Fooding 2009, ‘Les Incorrects’

 In > eat & coffee

Just after the release of the 2010 edition of their national restaurant guide, it’s time again for this annual week-long celebration of gluttony, which marries fine ingredients, excellent alcohols, surprising venues, Paris’ best chefs and a hungry public, all brought to you by that uncouth bunch of gastronomic hipsters Le Fooding. This year their theme is ‘Les Incorrects’, or the ill-mannered ones, and it’ll be celebrating a few ingredients you won’t find in the Dalai Lama’s recipe book: discover the nuances of butter, what happens when you marry Veuve Cliquot to a Munster cheese, the joys of horsemeat Carpaccio, cognac cocktails prepared within a shady speakeasy, and deviant dishes prepared incognito by masked chefs. Find the complete program here. To participate, reserve online the day prior; so reservations open this Sunday (for Monday) here. The festival is crowned on Mon 7 with the prize-winning ceremony and party, with award winners – of France’s most exciting new restaurants – published on the Fooding’s website at midnight.
Mon 30 Nov-Mon 7 Dec.

So to go to the party on the 7th – you can reserve online the evening of the 6th? Or it’s an invite-only/press type of situation?

Invite only! Come back here on the 7th for my post of the award party, almost as good as being there, I hope.
