Quinzaine des Réalisateurs 2012 at the Forum des Images

As soon as Cannes closes, the edgy Directors’ Fortnight program – dedicated to up-and-coming filmmakers – makes the trip to Paris, and is screened in its entirety at the Forum des Images, for the most part prior to the film’s general release. Look out for the 3 English-language films in the selection: Room 237 by Rodney Ascher, a documentary on the making of Kubrick’s The Shining, Michel Gondry’s latest The We and the I, and Sightseers by Ben Wheatley. Plus there’s the prize winners:  No by Pablo Larraín (Art Cinea Award);  El taaib (The Repentant) by Merzak Allouache (Europa Cinemas); Camille redouble (Camille Rewinds) by Noémie Lvovsky (Prix SACD 2012).
