'TRUE GRIT', the Coen brothers' latest, out tomorrow

The Coen brothers’ latest is a classic western, and an adaptation of a 1968 novel by Charles Portis (there is another film version from 1969 and starring John Wayne). Their 2011 version claims to be a more faithful adaptation of the book, and stars Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin. Released in December in the US and UK, the film has been both a critical success and the brothers’ highest grossing film. It is currently nominated for ten Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Actor (Bridges). Btw, the ceremony is this Sunday!
