Bistro Populaire

 In > eat & coffee

Opened just last month, this cute new bistro/ rotisserie spread out around a corner on the Boulevard Beaumarchais (a stone’s throw from Merci), serves up a great little menu of of unpretentious French classics, going from quality tinned sardines or a plate of radishes served with butter and salt (2.50€), to 1/4 free-range roast chicken served with your choice of mash, salad, veggies, or new potatoes (12€). If the place and its 50sesque fit-out can feel at times like they’ve escaped from Happy Days, there’s a sincere attention to quality produce; the beef is Charolais, the veal from Limousin… And they serve food non-stop from 7am to 11pm across breakfast, lunch and dinner, then keep the bar open till 2am, 7 days a week! Most things, including the tasty roast chickens, are available to take away, too.
Open 7am-2am daily.
